I really didn't want it to have to come to this, but if Douglas hadn't taken the dog in and given it bionics, Krane would have nothing to tamper with. It wasn't Douglas's fault, but it was fundamentally caused by Douglas. It's the same as Krane's army. If Douglas hadn't shared his research with Krane, Krane wouldn't have been able to create his bionic army. Douglas didn't do it, but he led the way for it to happen.
